Image Price Calculator

A lot of our design work includes modifying existing web sites or customizing image galleries. One of the most popular items we are asked for is an image price calculator for photography sites that sell prints or that licence images using Paypal.

We've done the coding and here it is for you download and use on your websites for free!

You can see a demo in action and it can be used as a stand alone page, (just remove the links to the shopping cart at the bottom) or it can be incorporated into image gallery systems with a bit of modification.

The prices shown are not meant to give a current indication of image licensing prices, just to show how it works. It is easy to adjust and modify the prices to fit your own requirements.

As it is the calculator is written for use with Paypal and can probably be changed to work with other payment systems. We've only ever used it with Paypal so don't know how much work would be involved.

As we are giving this away for free, we can only offer limited help and support with changing the coding.

Simple Search Engine

A simple JavaScript search engine that uses an 'Amorphous' database, so it has no external dependancies. It will work on mac and pc, windows or linux web servers and you can even write it to CD or DVD and it will work on a remote computer not connected to the internet!

We've only given a simple demo, but we have used this to produce a searchable image gallery of 2,000 images that was written to CD and worked perfectly. With a bit of modification it can easily be used in conjunction with the image price calculator and the web gallery scripts in Adobe Photoshop to produce searchable image galleries. That's actually all we've ever used it for!
